The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The company point produced for intervention experiences a higher inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
